Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

schoolworkplanner is an independent homework-planning web application maintained from Washington, United States, and available at schoolworkplanner.com. The workspace is also labeled “Tackle the Task.” In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the individual who maintains the service. This policy covers this website and its homework-planning features. It does not cover other websites you choose to visit through links.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, account identifier, authentication records, and profile details you enter, such as your display name and time zone. Our authentication provider, Supabase, processes your password and maintains the credentials used to sign you in.
• Registration choices: for new accounts, your selected age group (13–17 or 18 and older), your statement of parent or guardian permission when applicable, and the policy versions and time associated with your signup agreement. We do not ask for your exact birth date in this process.
• Workspace content: classes, homework and task details, deadlines, starting instructions, stopping notes, completion status, recorded work sessions, availability, uploaded materials, and related edit or activity history.
• Technical information: hosting and authentication systems process information such as IP addresses, browser or device information, request times, and error or security logs to deliver and protect the service.
• Messages you send us: your contact details and the information you include when requesting help or exercising privacy rights.

Enter only information needed for your homework planning. Avoid including sensitive personal details or information about other people that you do not have permission to provide.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, save and display your workspace, organize homework, record study time, support recovery and deletion, answer requests, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent personal information, use homework content for targeted advertising, or display advertising in the app. AI interpretation is not enabled on the current service. Before introducing a feature that sends homework content to an AI provider, we will explain that processing and update this policy as needed.

4. Who can access information

Your saved workspace is associated with your account. Other students are not given access to it through the app. Authorized administration or support access may be used when necessary to operate the service, resolve a request, or protect accounts.

We use these service providers to operate the website:

• Cloudflare: website hosting, delivery, and security. It processes requests to the website and related technical information. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: account authentication, database storage, and storage of uploaded materials. It processes account information and saved workspace content. Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Google Gmail: delivery and storage of messages sent to our contact address. Do not include passwords or unnecessary homework or personal information in support messages. Google Privacy Policy.

Contacting our support email also involves the email systems used to deliver and store that conversation. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, or protect users and the service. We do not provide a public directory of student accounts or public homework sharing.

Opening an uploaded file uses a temporary access link. Anyone who receives that link may be able to open the file until the link expires, so do not share it unless you intend to share the material.

Provider infrastructure may be located outside your country. Information is processed where the service and its providers operate.

5. Cookies and browser storage

The app uses authentication cookies to keep you signed in and connect requests to your account. Blocking these cookies can prevent sign-in or saving. Signing out ends your current session and can also require you to sign in again on other devices. It does not delete your account or saved homework.

We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party marketing analytics. Hosting providers may use technical protections needed to deliver and secure the site. If you use a local demo version, its example workspace and files can be stored in that browser instead of an online account.

We do not track your activity across unrelated websites for advertising. The app does not change its behavior in response to a browser’s “Do Not Track” setting. The service providers listed above still process the technical information needed to deliver their services.

6. Keeping and deleting information

Saved homework remains available so you can return to it and review your progress. Completing or archiving a task keeps its history. Moving something to the deleted section is recoverable; use the permanent-delete controls in “Archived & deleted” to remove the selected records and their associated content from the active workspace.

File cleanup may take additional time if a storage request needs to be retried. Limited activity identifiers and timestamps can remain for reliable operation even after related homework content is removed. Deleting workspace items does not delete your login account.

To request account closure and deletion of associated information, contact furnaceagent@gmail.com. We will verify the request before acting. Limited records may need to be retained for security, legal obligations, or resolving disputes. Backup copies, where maintained by providers, are subject to their backup-retention cycles and may not disappear immediately. There is currently no automatic deletion schedule for inactive accounts.

7. Your choices and requests

You can view and edit your homework in the app and use its archive, restore, and permanent-delete controls. You can contact furnaceagent@gmail.com to request access to your personal information, a copy, correction, account deletion, or information about how it is used.

When possible, write from the email address associated with your account and describe the request. If you no longer have access to that address, tell us so we can discuss another way to verify the request. Do not send identity documents unless we have explained why they are necessary and arranged an appropriate way to provide them.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to a privacy regulator. We will handle applicable requests as required by law. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity or authority, but never send us your password.

8. Children and parents

Children under 13 must not create an account or submit personal information through the current self-service signup. New accounts are currently limited to ages 13 and older; under-13 enrollment is not available while an appropriate parental-consent process has not been established. A parent or guardian can contact furnaceagent@gmail.com with questions.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided information without the required consent, please contact us so we can investigate and address its removal. A parent or guardian can also contact us to request review or deletion of their child’s information or to stop further collection. We will verify parental authority before disclosing a child’s information.

9. Security

We use HTTPS, account authentication, and database access rules designed to separate users’ records. No internet service can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted availability. Keep your password confidential and sign out on shared devices. Report suspected unauthorized access to furnaceagent@gmail.com.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service or its practices change. The date above identifies the latest version. For material changes, we will provide a prominent notice on the website or within the app and obtain consent where required before applying new practices.
