1. About these terms
schoolworkplanner is an independent homework-planning web application maintained from Washington, United States. These terms describe the conditions for using schoolworkplanner.com and its homework tracker, also labeled “Tackle the Task” within the app (the “Service”). “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to the individual who maintains the service. You can reach us at furnaceagent@gmail.com.
New registration requires you to review and accept these terms before creating an account. If you do not agree, do not create an account. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. Nothing here limits rights that applicable law gives you regardless of agreement.
2. Eligibility and accounts
Current self-service registration is for people aged 13 and older. If you are below the age of legal adulthood where you live, use the Service with a parent or guardian’s permission and involvement. Children under 13 must not register or submit personal information. Under-13 enrollment is not currently available. A parent or guardian may contact us with questions.
Provide accurate account information, use an email address you are authorized to use, and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not use another person’s account without permission.
3. What the Service provides
The Service helps you organize tasks by class, choose what to work on, record homework time, save stopping points, and review completed work. It is a planning aid. It does not submit assignments to a teacher, verify that work meets course requirements, or guarantee grades, deadlines, or learning outcomes.
Check deadlines and requirements against your teacher’s instructions. A completed task in the app is your own record of completion. Timers and saved information may be affected by connectivity, device behavior, or software errors. Keep another copy of important deadlines and materials.
The Service is independently operated. Use does not imply approval, sponsorship, or affiliation with a school or school district. Access on a school device remains subject to that school’s rules.
4. Your content and our software
You keep your rights in the homework information and materials you provide. You give us a limited permission to host, store, process, display, and transmit that content as needed to provide and protect the Service and carry out your requests. This permission does not give us ownership of your work or permission to sell it.
Only provide content you have the right to use. Respect other people’s privacy and intellectual property. The Service’s software, branding, and design belong to their respective owners. You may use the Service for its intended purpose; these terms do not transfer ownership of it. Separate open-source licenses, where applicable, continue to govern the components they cover.
To report a suspected copyright or other rights violation involving the Service, contact furnaceagent@gmail.com. Identify the material, where it appears, the rights involved, and how we can reach you. Avoid including another student’s private information unnecessarily.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to:
- Break the law, violate another person’s rights, or upload unlawful or harmful material.
- Impersonate someone, steal credentials, or access another user’s private information.
- Upload malware, interfere with the Service, bypass its security controls, or overload it with abusive requests.
- Collect other users’ information without authorization or use the Service for spam.
If you discover a security issue, report it to furnaceagent@gmail.com without accessing or exposing other users’ information.
6. Availability, changes, and fees
The Service is currently offered without a subscription charge. If we introduce paid features, we will explain the price and terms before you choose to purchase them; an existing free account does not authorize charges.
We may maintain, improve, limit, or discontinue features. We will aim to give reasonable notice of a material reduction or shutdown when practicable, but urgent security or legal issues may require immediate action. Continuous availability and preservation of every record cannot be guaranteed.
7. Ending use and account restrictions
You may stop using the Service at any time. To close your account and request deletion, contact furnaceagent@gmail.com. Archiving, finishing, or deleting an individual task does not close your account. Retention and deletion are explained in the Privacy Policy.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, a security risk, a legal requirement, or a material breach of these terms. Where appropriate and safe, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Contact us if you believe a restriction is mistaken.
8. Service limitations and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free results, fitness for a particular purpose, or guaranteed academic outcomes.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any responsibility or consumer right that cannot lawfully be limited. Your mandatory legal rights remain in effect.
9. Updates and questions
We may revise these terms. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be announced prominently on the website or within the app before taking effect where practicable, and we will seek additional agreement when required by law. Changes do not retroactively remove rights you already have.
If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful. These terms do not require private arbitration or waive rights to seek remedies available under applicable law.
